Saying Goodbye

Last week, Mom-Mom starting to slowly fade. She became increasingly more confused and less able to do things for herself. On Wednesday, Hospice came and sent a nurse the next day. They ordered in a hospital bed, oxygen and morphine. They set up an in-home nurse that was suppose to start today.

But, yesterday with her family present, she went to be with the Lord.

It was very hard to see her go, but very reassuring to know that she is now with Pop and her sisters.

Although, we will grieve for ourselves, we will also laugh and smile, because Mom-Mom is not suffering anymore and knowing her, Aunt Mary, Aunt Liz and Aunt Julia they are having one heck of a party.

Oh I am so very sorry to read about your family's lost. You are all in my thoughts and prayers during this most difficult time.

It's very difficult to let someone go, but knowing that they're not sick anymore and have gone on to a more glorious place does help. I hope that her passing was peaceful. Being with my dad when he died is one of the most cherished events in my life.
