Chessie Club Awards

At Kari and Noah's school, 2nd graders can participate in a reading club called The Chessie Club. Students arrive at school early every day to read books. Noah read over 24 books and was awarded the Admiral Award. We celebrated with ice cream sandwiches. So proud of him!

Last Day of School

Thanks to a uncharacteristically warm winter we didn't use any of our inclement weather days. That allowed us to get out of school a few days early. Here are pictures of the kiddos from the first day and last day of school for the 2011-2012 school year. We now have a 5th grader and 3rd grader in our house!

After school we headed to Mrs. Brown's (a teacher Rick works with at Lindale) house for a cookout and to swim. What a way to celebrate the beginning of summer!

Love My Grandkiddos

I love surprise visits from my grandkiddos. Kaysen is such a good big brother and Kiyah is growing so quickly!

Granddad just loves his little princess

Just after Kiyah turned 1 month old, Ashley stopped over with her and Kaysen. Kiyah was wide awake and loved talking to Granddad. Kaysen wanted to go out and blow bubbles. I just love this two little critters!

Kari's 10th Birthday!!

We celebrated on Kari's birthday with Chick-Fil-A for dinner and an ice cream cake for dessert. A few weeks later she had a scavenger hunt/sleepover. All of the girls had a great time....pizza, ice cream sundaes and mini boxes of cereal and Munchkin donut holes for breakfast. Kari fell asleep the following day by 5 PM. I think that tells you how successful the party was =)

Field Day 2012

The kiddos' field day ended up getting rescheduled twice due to rain. The day it ended up being on was muggy with a slight chance of rain. It never did rain, so we were able to spend the day with Noah. Kari requested that we not stay during her activities, so Rick grabbed a quick picture of her and we took Noah to lunch. Here are some pictures.....
